101 – Dynamic Puppy
Dynamic Puppy is a 4-week class targeted towards puppies under 6 months of age but open to puppies younger than 1-year-old. In this class, we focus on strengthening the special bond between puppy and owner along with creating a confident and friendly adult dog. Our goal is to have your puppy be excited about learning and working with you. We will introduce you to fun games and set up challenging obstacle courses to promote learning and socialization. We will also discuss potty training, nipping/biting, preventing separation anxiety, and other behavioral management strategies, to support you in your puppy-raising journey. This class is perfect when taken simultaneously with our puppy preschool party. Come and join the fun and bring any questions you have for our expert dog trainers.
102 – Learning Life
This course will cover Focus, attention, basic manners, cooperative care, stimulus control, shaping, drive building, toy play, decompression, and how to create a mentally stable working partner!!
Please note that this class is appropriate for dogs and handlers of all ages! While this class is EXTREMELY helpful to dogs of all ages puppies under 12M will be able to participate in AKC star puppy testing the final week of class
103 – Brilliant Basics: Manners & Basic Obedience
This 6 week class is perfect for the beginner dog owner or for experienced owners with a new addition! Learn how to communicate better with your dog, establish a mat behavior, walk on a loose leash, and more. Dogs and handlers of all ages are welcome! This class is a great opportunity to socialize your dog. Be ready to bring cookies and toys!
104 – Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
The Canine Good Citizen program was created by the AKC to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage the training of well mannered dogs. The test itself is a series of ten skills that focus on making you and your canine partner just that…good citizens. In this class we will broaden out those ten skills and emphasize on the good manners and well rounded principals that come with them. Obedience training will be our main focus as well as working on communication between dog and handler. CGC is a great relationship builder between you and your dog and open to all breeds and ages. At the end of the six weeks the CGC test will be conducted
105- Advanced Canine Good Citizen (CGCA)
Looking for something to do with your furry companion after you pass the AKC CGC test?
What about increasing your dog’s level of basic obedience and manners within the community by learning skills for the Canine Good Citizen Advanced title?
This too, is a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Community Canine (also known as CGCA) title. This is a title that appears on the dog’s title record at AKC. All the dog’s skills on the test are tested on leash.
The goal of AKC Community Canine is to test the dog’s skills in a natural setting. For example, rather than the dog being tested in a ring, in AKC Community Canine, the “walks through a crowd” test item will involve the dog walking through a real crowd at a dog show, on a busy sidewalk, in a therapy dog setting, or at a training club.
Prerequisite: Must have passed the CGC test.
Advanced Sequencing
This agility class builds off our “Novice Handling class” to teach students longer sequences (8-15 obstacles) with increased difficultly. In this class teams will run sequences commonly seen in all levels of agility competition. Focus will be on learning the dog line, choosing the fastest path, and building obstacle commitment.
101 – AGILITY FOUNDATIONS
This foundation class covers all obstacle and handling skills needed for success in agility. Teams will learn fundamental games for proper jump performance, confident contact behaviors, independent weave pole performance, and ring readiness.
This class is on-going so that you can join at anytime!
Agility Foundations 2
In this class we will continue building the foundation skills started in level one and start short sequences to build responsiveness, focus, and handling skills. This class is currently using a “group format” so that two dog/handler teams will be in the ring at once.
This class is suitable for dogs who have completed Foundations 1 and are capable of doing short jump/tunnel sequences or have instructor approval.
Agility Foundations – Sensitive Dog
This class is for those just starting out in the sport of Agility who have sensitive, reactive, or fearful dogs. In this class teams will work one at a time in a safe and non-distracting envrioment to learn all about agility!
This foundation class covers all obstacle and handling skills needed for success in agility. Teams will learn fundamental games for proper jump performance, confident contact behaviors, independent weave pole performance, and ring readiness.
This class is suitable for puppies who are at least 6 months old or have instructor approval.
This class is on-going so that you can join at anytime!
Agility Practice Session
This “class” meets once a week and allows YOU to train without an instructor at Dog Gone Fun. Like a fun match, in this class, a course will be set up that you could run or you can use your time to train any skill.
This class is suitable for dogs who can safely preform all obstacles
AKC ATT – Prep Course!
“The AKC Temperament Test (ATT) was developed to bring focus and provide a meaningful evaluation to assess the temperament of our canine companions.
The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.” – AKC website

In this 4 week prep course Teams will Be exposed to a wide variety sights, sounds, and surfaces that appear in the AKC ATT test and the real world! This class is perfect for anyone wanting to earn the AKC ATT title, socialize their dog, and learn how to modify behavior though positive reinforcement!
Balls?! Squirrels?! Trees?! Oh my!
We will start off by going over the basic Focus principles. You will learn what factors effect focus, drive, and overall canine health! We will tackle focus problems that originate from over or under arousal, fear, stress, and training. Teams will address how to prevent common focus problems and build proper engagement!
Working participants will learn and play the focus games necessary to their team building! Once proper focus is established we will start adding the 3 D’s (distance, duration, and distraction) and building bombproof behaviors!
Competition Obedience Foundations
Competition Obedience is all about precision and flawless behaviors. In this class teams will learn the skills needed to achieve this with ease and fluency. Goals include heeling on and off leash, stand for exam, front/finishes, recall, and so much more! R+ techniques will be utilized.
Conformation Foundations
This class will focus on helping you and your beginner dog or puppy prepare for the show ring. This class will be an opportunity to use positive reinforcement to teach and improve ring quirks and the overall presentation of your dog. Here you will find a positive environment to learn all about conformation!

DGF JR. HANDLER AGILITY CLASS!!
This class is made specifically for kids under the age of 18 who want to train their dogs for the sport of dog agility. In this class, teams will learn how to work together, focus on easy tasks, and play lots of games while learning all about agility! You don’t need any prior experience or dog knowledge. Dogs of all breeds and ages are welcome.

Dock Diving – Air Retrieve
Air Retrieve teaches your dog how to fly. AR is a dock game in which the dog knocks off or catches a suspended bumper from increasing distance. Not only is AR another fun dock game, but it can help improve your overall distance and pop.
Dogs must be confidently jumping off the dock to join this class! 😀
Enrichment Palooza
In this 6 week course teams will learn games, activities, and puzzles that lead to a happy fully enriched dog! Enrichment training has been shown to have many mental and physical benefits for all dogs. From bouncy puppies, injured, reactive, fearful, overly excited, and aging dogs will all leave this class with a much better state of mind!
This class will have access to a private online form where they can post HW, Questions, and new enrichment ideas!
Farm Dog Prep
Flyball 101
Teams will learn the basic skills involved in the sport of flyball. Positive methods will be used to train each part of the game first and then how to combine each part to complete a run down the hurdles to the box, catch the ball, and then return to the start. Flyball 101 is for dogs just learning the sport as well as dogs that are familiar with the concepts and need practice. Each dog/handler will be able to work at their own pace and level of understanding.
Classes are held in the indoor agility building on turf.
Flying Frisbee! Foundations
Frisbee is an exceptional dog sport that builds not only teamwork, but independence and confidence in your dog at the same time. In this class we will explore the basics of throwing technique, tracking the disc, as well as recall and retrieve back to you. We will also go over the different disc games for you and your dogs to practice in class and at home. With a new insurgence of the sport recently we are excited to bring new life into this activity!
From Reactive to Proactive: Solutions for the Reactive Dog
In this class teams will learn how to proactively handle dogs who are reactive to other dogs or people. By training leash skills, focus games, relaxation protocols, and stimulus control games you will learn how to set your dog up for success in challenging situations.
FUN-dations – Agility For FUN!
Does your dog love running, jumping, and playing? Do you want something FUN to do with your dog? Have you heard about the exciting sport of dog agility but not sure if you want to compete? In our Fun-dations class we will learn all the basics of the sport and more while taking the competitive edge out of the game. This classes main focus is for you and your dog is to have the most fun possible without the stress of competition, but still learning basic obstacles and handling skills needed to succeed. This class is perfect for teams just looking to run for fun or those starting out with their dog, but it will also prepare you for an agility Foundations class if you decide to compete!
This class is appropriate for senior dogs as well! Safety and a Lot Of Fun are key elements.
Healing Paws – Therapy Dog Class
Are you and your dog ready to be a therapy dog team?
Do you and your friendly pup want to make a difference, come see what this rewarding hobby is all about. Learn what it means to be a therapy dog team and what it takes to get certified. This six week course will focus on educating handlers and familiarizing canines with different types of visitations and skills needed to excel in this venture.

Intro to Dog Sports! 2.0

Jr. Handler Master Agility Handling
This on-going Agility class is made specifically for kids under the age of 18 who want to improve handling skills and teamwork in dog agility! In this class teams will run full courses that are commonly seen in high level competition. A strong focus will be on teaching the kids to read lines and perfect their handling.
This course is suitable for Junior Handler teams who are competing at a masters level or who have instructor approval.
Jumping Jelly Bean
This 8-week course covers all the elements REQUIRED for Fantastic jump skills. Perfect for green dogs looking to build proper jump skills from the start and dogs who need help on a element of jumping. The working teams will learn Canine fitness foundations, one jump skills and jump grid skills such as use of the target, Take off point, collection, dog and handler starting positions, problem solving ideas, proofing techniques, and adding handler motion.
NOTE: Dogs must be done growing, so either considered mature in age or growth plates confirmed closed. Handlers should have a good understanding of shaping.

Master Handling
In this Master Handling for Agility class teams will run full courses that are commonly seen in the master and premier level of agility competition. In this class the students will learn how to read lines and perfecting handling to continuing improving in agility competitions!
This course is suitable for teams who are competing at a masters level or who have DGF instructor approval.
Need for SPEED?
Speed building class!!!
Do you ever wish your dog was faster? Want to be a team instead of a cheerleader? Does your Dog run fast in training only to slow down at competitions? Does your dog love Agility or do they see it as work? In this 6 week class teams will learn skills for building confidence, Drive, value for Jumps, independence, obstacle focus, and a variety of fun games to make them LOVE agility and get them sprinting around the course! This class is also perfect for dogs just starting sequencing or who need more distance, obstacle obstacle focus, and jump skills.
Novice Skill Building
In this on-going course teams will learn Jump commitment, value for the bars, driving lines, Front crosses, Blind crosses, rear crosses, pinwheels, 180s, Driving circles, forward and lateral sends, serps, forced fronts, backsides, and more!!
This is the perfect class for teams who need to learn Handling, dogs who need to build confidence, teams getting ready to show, and dogs who need jump commitment and value for the bar.
Pet Problem Solving
Whether you’re dealing with a dog that runs through doorways without waiting, being too excited when guests come over, or barking when friends come over- this may be the class for you! During this course, we will be covering what specific topic you and your pup may be having. Our methods are force free and positive based, giving you ample options to quell any unwanted behavior. Puppy Potty and Crate Training Basics
This is a group discussion session for dog owners only that will include instructions on how to set up a workable schedule for helping your puppy/dog successfully potty train. Topics will focus on trouble shooting common potty training problems and methods for overcoming these problems. Participants will learn how to train puppies/dogs to love and feel safe in a crate. Crates are a valuable tool in potty training and also offer dogs a safe and quiet place to retreat when needed.
Puppy Preschool Party!
Socializing your puppy is one of the most important things you can do to set them up for a successful life with you! In this class we will emphasize those interactions by exposing them to new sounds and surfaces! Teams will also learn basic manners skills and enrichment games. A large portion of the class will be spent socializing your puppy to new people and learning appropriate dog interactions by playing with other puppies in the class!
This class is appropriate for dogs eight weeks to six months old. No previous training is required. Come have FUN with your puppy!
Radiant Rally Foundations
Radiant Rally Foundations – Sensitive Dog Class
Radiant Rally Round 2
This class is for those who already have the skills needed for Rally Novice or those who have already achieved their Rally Novice title and are looking to gain experience with AKC Rally intermediate signs.
Rally is all about teamwork. You and your dog will navigate a course together, side-by-side, at a brisk pace. The course will have signs where you’ll perform different exercises which will include various turns and commands such as sit, down, stay, etc.
This is a fun upbeat sport that allows for unlimited communication from the handler to the dog. Be sure to bring your “happy voices” and lots of treats!
Scent, Search, Find! Scent Work Foundations – 1.5 Hour Long
The sport of scent work is based on the work of professional detection dogs as dogs have a sense of smell that is up to 100,000 times better then ours! In sport scent work teams work together to find essential odors such as Birch, Anise, Clove, Cypress, and more. In this Foundations class students will learn how to properly handle odor, set hides for your dog, build value for odor, and play many fun original games!
Scent work is a great sport for reactive, fearful, aging dogs, and puppies! It is a natural enrichment activity that benefits all dogs emotional balance!!

Class includes a scent work kit to get you started! This class is One hour long and limited to 5 teams.
Scentwork Advanced
This class is for dogs and their handlers that have been previously introduced to odor and have noticeable behavior change (or indication) for target odors. Distractions and different types of hides will be introduced for your dog, focusing on working comfortably in locations to increase confidence for searches.
This class is open to teams that are wishing to trial and improve their skills, along with handlers that are looking to build the partnership with their dog through more advanced detection skills.
Senior Dog Agility Class
This Agility class was made just for senior dogs who loved agility in their youth or who want to learn a cool new hobby! Safety is the top priority with this class. Dogs will play on our indoor turf arena with maximum cushion, Jump low bars or jump bumps, go through tunnels, and do short sequences. Keeping aging dogs active has many physical & psychological benefits and we are so excited to give them a safe indoor activity!
Shed Hunting
Shed Hunting is a dog sport that involves searching for antlers that have been naturally shed by deer or elk. Dogs are trained to use their keen sense of smell to find these antlers in a way that provides mental and physical stimulation to the dog/handler team.
This 4-week class teaches the team the skills needed to successfully explore various terrain both safely and efficiently as they hunt for the sheds.
Super Swimmers: Doggie Swim Class
If you want to teach your dog to swim this is the class for you! In this class dogs will learn to love the water will be in taught how to safely enter and exit the pool and proper swimming techniques. Handler‘s will learn water safety skills such as wind/where it is safe to let your dog swim, how to recognize and prevent water toxicity, and more.
Dogs and Puppies of all ages are welcome in this class. Dogs do not need any previous water experience.
Please note: This is a swim class not a dock diving class. The dock will not be used.
Treibball 101
Treibball (‘try-ball’) is one of the newest activities in the dog sport circuit! Started in Germany, it has been deemed as simply “ball herding” or “dog soccer,” it has slowly made its way to the US and has been growing ever since. This sport is not exclusively for herding breeds, any breed can learn and are welcome to play. The premise overall being that the handler will stand behind a line, send their dog out to a group of blown up yoga balls, and through their commands the dog will use both direction and speed to bring a specific ball across a “goal” line (in a specific amount of time.)
In this class you and your dog will learn the foundations and stepping stones of Treibball. Teams will use a variety of training techniques such as shaping and target work, as well as learning to control a yoga ball over distances with their noses. This sport proves both to be extremely satisfying and will challenge both you and your dog to learn new commands, distance work, independence, and teamwork!
Tricktastic! Trick class
It’s all about tricks! Tricks help to build a better relationship, instill confidence, build focus, relive stress, and serve as great party entertainment! In this 6 week course teams will learn a multitude of tricks and be tested tor the AKC trick dog titles.
AKC has 5 levels of Trick titles you can earn:
