Thelma has been actively involved in training and showing dogs for 20 years. As a child she spent time spectating shows with her mother and memorizing all she could from the AKC New Complete Dog Book. She spent her teenage years volunteering at an animal shelter playing match maker for potential adopters and grooming and training the shelter dogs.
In 2001 she acquired her first show dog and has since owner handled all of her dogs to a championship and titled many in obedience, rally, lure coursing, and agility. She has enjoyed many years of doing pet therapy with her English Setters as well. She is passionate about breeding versatile English Setters, mentoring those new to dog sports and sharing her hobby with her family.
